I have loved art since I was a child! I would sit in my parent's living room

and study the intricacies of the seascape over the couch and marvel at the

paintings that graced the fence at Jackson Square in New Orleans. I recall

the moment I discovered Monet at the National Gallery of Art in DC and how I lost myself in the clouds that swirled around its lovely lady with a

parasol. And I remember the first piece of art I bought and still have- a

simple painting of beach grasses and sugar sand.

I have been taking photographs ever since I can remember. My little instant cameras captured so many memories of family, friends, and silly things, but also landscapes- here was what I loved. My Mom couldn't understand why I would take pictures of just the ocean or the beach or the mountains and streams. I wanted to capture the beauty of the landscape without people- like the paintings I loved. For many years, I just snapped beautiful places as I visited them from Florida to California to Canada, England, and Australia and many places in between.

Then I moved to Pennsylvania and began to marry the artistic with the

reality using photography. Digital brought freedom to experiment and process immediately- to see! I began to show in galleries and received awards. I entered the world of the DSLR- so freeing! And I discovered the wonders of so many places from Virginia to Maine to New York City to DC and the Atlantic shore. I ventured into waterfalls and hiked paths to discover their secrets.

I create! I paint! And all with my camera! I love what I do and I love

sharing my vision!
